The New Equi-Trek Lightweight Horsebox - The Atom

This new horsebox has an unladen weight of 2100kg, giving it the highest payload of it's size available on the market today. The gross weight of 3.5 tonne means it can be driven on a standard licence, ideal for those who do not have B & E on their licence to tow a trailer.

This EquiTrek horsebox is quite compact and easy to drive and offers a lower chassis height providing not just easier and safer loading and unloading due to a lower ramp but also a more stable and smooth ride. It is based on a Peugeot chassis with a 6 speed gearbox and has a 2.0L HDI diesel engine with 160BHP which provides economical mpg and also a great performance.

The 2 rear facing stalls can take either ponies or horses, a dual height breast bar and a fully adjustable partition are provided which can be moved easily to alter the size of the stall dependent upon the size or needs of your horses. The breast bar can be collapsed and safely removed from the outside in case of an emergency. Roof vents and windows all round provide good ventilation.
